Wrong Number Mystery
I receive a tremendous amount of wrong numbers dialers at my work desk phone, more than anyone else here. There was this woman once who called and asked who I was and started asking about my office. Of course, I didn’t tell her anything because there is nothing that bothers me more than when someone calls my phone and asks me who I am. There were also those usual instances of callers looking for Nessa, Joey, Frankie and etc.
Recorded at 7:58am this morning and marked as urgent, I got the ultimate voicemail from a male caller at 860-348-xxxx (I googled the number and got a listing in New Britain, CT!) Here is the message:
“Heeeeyeah yeAH YEAHHH! I just wantchu to know that you are a ugly a** crackhead b****. You are a f****** b****! B****!!!!”
Along with the lunch box mystery, there are just too many weird things in the world, particularly at this office.

The first time I saw something like this was from Shun’s photo set of a folded Yen bill. Then I made one from a $5 which I used to pay someone back for a $18 Yankees’ game ticket… I don’t think he thought it was worth more than 5 bucks because he waited for me to cough up the remaining $13.

I saw the movie on Friday and it exceeded my expectations… so I was pretty excited to see the show at Deitch on Saturday. It was probably the most awesome thing I have seen in a while… they had a bunch of props, settings and all kinds of stuff that you can use to shoot your movie. I think the way it works is that you sign up for a time slot and actually make a plan to swede a movie by checking out a camera there. The official slots are all filled up, but I am definitely taking my camera there with more tape/people/actors the next time. Read more
No commentsBest Weekend Ever - February 2008 Edition

Yeah… and you know why! First-much-anticipated-The-National-show-of-the-year-for-me at BAM! It was a bit awkward tonight, though… everyone on the mezzanine wanted to stay seated, I don’t know why. Even after Matt Berninger said it was ok to stand up, I got asked to sit down by someone behind me. Anyway, it was still awesome. The opening act My Brightest Diamond was also very lovely.
Does it get better than this? Yup… went to see Be Kind Rewind last night. It was so good… To top THAT, I went to see the exhibition at Deitch gallery earlier today (more on that in the next post.) I also ran into Stefan Sagmeister and his work there…

Hmmm… I stumbled upon their site today… I even saw a H&R Block 160×600 ad on the left side before I accidently closed the window.
Modest Mouse likes banner ads so you should, too. Being “indie” doesn’t mean you can’t love ads.
No commentsall work no play

This is my desk, full view, at work. It is pretty gross right now… All work and no play results in boring messy-work-desk blog entries and not knowing what is going on…
For example, I ran into a new episode of LOST tonight. I haven’t watched this show since mid-season 2. What the hell is going on? Why am I seeing scenes from the future/present? Is this a reverse flashback? Were they saved?? What happened to the Asians?
At least I am up to date with EDC…
No commentsa lot of Hong Kong lately

The EDC scandal is just as hot as this sausage clay-pot rice.
After reading up on Edison batgwa all week, I was totally in the mood for toasty clay-pot rice by the end of the week. I went on Friday AND Saturday…
I have to find other appropriate Hong Kong foods before I get sick of this…
No commentsOut of Commission

I think I have the flu.
This morning, I looked everywhere for some medicine. I found this packet in my travel toiletry bag. I got sick and had to buy this stuff when I went to Japan last year. I am not sure if it is drowsy-free because I am a little dizzy right now…
