Weekend Roundup

Ate so much effin’ food I gained an extra year in the age box. Thank you all for your warm wishes and extra love… you know who you are.

It has been one month since I left University Place. The photo above shows the construction progress on the building across from our building during the six months I was there.
Speaking of which, the kitty from four months ago is now a handsome cat. He still comes around on the fire escape and likes to meow. I meow he meow.
Poll: Should I pet him? Feed him? Take him in? Keep things strictly platonic?

29 minutes from home to work today!
By the time I reached 72nd and Central Park West, I realized that I forgot my work badge, several reference materials I have been wanting to bring to my work desk, and…. my work sketchbook.
Conclusion: This age thing is making me forget a lot of things… but my radish legs can still outrun you grannies & gramps.

I just finished my first week at Atmosphere. The work is cool and the kids are cool. We’ll see how it goes. Midtown is not my favorite hood, but my morning walk through the park from my apartment to work is the best part of my day. I have been taking different paths everyday and trying to set new records. Today, it took me 34 minutes from door to door. Looks like these buildings were barely awake this morning.
Went to see Rodrigo y Gabriela this evening at Roseland Ballroom. It was my third time to see them this year and first time at Roseland. The venue was effin’ weird. What’s up with all the strobe lights, dewds? I was reaching for my shades. It was such a big venue but I guess Rod y Gab are getting pretty big. The crowd was bizarre, too. I saw many suits and briefcases in the crowd tonight drinking cheap beers and eating hot dogs. Maybe we are just getting old…

Cute! Watch the animation and the making-of video.
**This one is for Sherry… The bunnies will hop happily in the forest again. Get well soon!
No commentsFinally!

As requested by some of my dearest readers, I am going to stop bloggin’ about Matt Berninger & The National for a bit and start writing about other things, places and etc.
I disappeared for two weeks for a family trip in Europe to visit Rome, Venice and Paris. It wasn’t my first time in those cities but it was great to be with the family.
As promised… here are the foreign things, places and etc.
Rome (09/26/07 - 10/02/07)
Venice (10/02/07 - 10/05/07)
Paris (10/05/07 - 10/10/07)

Just got back from Paris last night (photos coming soon). I went to Terminal 5 for The National show tonight. Excellent performance… this was my fourth time to see them this year and I think this was the best show. Terminal 5 had leaks in its roof and the venue was a bit too sterile for my taste, but The National played an awesome set.
I am still lukewarm about the opening performance by St.Vincent… she was super cute though.
Conclusion: The National still *still* owns me.
