I pass by this building on 7th and 58th on the way to work every morning. It is the Alwyn Court and it is one of my favorite buildings in midtown. I love the crazy carvings on the facade.

The Petrossian restaurant and bakery is also in the same building… I got a croissant from the bakery for breakfast yesterday morning and it was probably the best croissant I’ve ever had in North America. It was probably also the most expensive croissant ($3) I have ever purchased. But it was good and I was full all day until dinner time. So I guess something worked out.

Since my friend Edward never put his baked goods in the mail for me, I got 4 madeleines from here this morning for $7. Again, probably the most I have ever paid for madeleines but it was oh so delicious.

Yum. I need a bigger breakfast budget.
